Why I Believe the Kingdom Needs Less Mission Trips

I am writing this blog from Calama, Chile where I am finishing a month on the field with a World Race Team. For months I’ve researched the World Race, dreaming of all the things it might mean to live life with the Lord on the race. I’ve spent hours vlog stalking, reading blogs, and following Instagram posts. I have become quite familiar with one of Adventure in Missions’ slogans, The World Race: More than a Mission Trip.Naturally, I thought this was fairly cheesy advertising and simply moved on. But after only one month of learning from World Racers, experiencing life with...

Go to the Mountains. Find the Beauty.

“Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” -1 Kings 19:11 I never knew a desert could be so beautiful. Finally free!

I have currently been in South America for a week now and the only word I can use to describe it is majestic! It is so easy to find beauty in the smallest things here and I absolutely love that! However I was blind to all of my surroundings until earlier today. Some of my teammates and I went on a run around our little town of Los Andes about an hour before sunset. The sad thing is that...

THEY’VE ARRIVED IN CHILE!

Our World Race Exposure Chile team has arrived in Chile! As you know, the world is ever changing so our plans on the world race are ever evolving too. Little travel update: N Squad is on their way to Chile from Argentina to meet up with the WRE team. Due to weather, the boarder crossing from Chile to Argentina has been closed so N Squad is unable to meet Exposure participants at the airport as planned. We have an in-country host, Daniel Romero from Iglesia Recoleta, who has volunteered to meet our participants at the airport. He met them at the airport and took them to his...

About Me

WORLD RACE EXPOSURE! A place to get a “taste of the race”, our WRExposure trips are full of young people, maybe not yet ready to embark on the full 11n11, but willing to step out of their comfort zones, chase the Lord overseas and build the Kingdom while doing ministry and living in a close knit community with a World Race squad already on the field! It’s exciting, it’s adventurous, it’s about Jesus and a little exposure to what the World Race is all about.
